About Concert Percussion
Grades 9-12
This class is a year-long class, and is the starting point for all incoming freshman percussion performers. The Hamilton High School Concert Percussion is a learning and performing group with an emphasis on basic musicianship including technique, musical style, intonation concepts, balance and blend through performance of the appropriate literature. Members of the concert percussion class gain an opportunity to perform in festivals and concerts many times throughout the school year. No audition is needed for these classes, and all ability levels are welcomed and encouraged – even beginners!
All HHS musicians who are looking to develop their musical knowledge, understanding, and skills are welcome to join the band.
